•6th Annual Blanco Lavender Festival will be held on the grounds of the Old Blanco County Courthouse June 11-13. Visitors will enjoy an array of vendors, artists and musicians, as well as a full schedule of programs on lavender culinary arts, gardening, and aromatherapy. •Blanco State Park – National Get Outdoors Day - Come spend the day outdoors having fun and learning new skills you can use all summer. Fishing with a Ranger, Intro to Canoe/Kayaking, Nature Trail Hikes and a Family Area with activities and games will all be featured in the morning and early afternoon. All classes are free with day entry into the park. Appropriate for adults, children and families. Please contact Park Headquarters for the day’s schedule of events. 9:00am – 2:00pm.

•Uptown Blanco Art Center is sponsoring free activities for children in the Uptown Blanco Courtyard throughout the day during this year’s Lavender Festival. A Bounce House will be set up for children to enjoy and face painting is available all day on June 12 -13. Children will be able to make their own puppets—also in the Courtyard. On June12, Lavender Festival visitors can cool off in the Uptown Blanco Art Center watching or participating in free art demonstrations; painting (11:30-2:30 p.m.), card making (1-3) and pottery (3-5).

•Hill Country CattleWomen: Meeting in Junction at Isaack’s Restaurant at 1006 Main. Social and sign-in begin at 10am, meeting at 10:30am with a program presented by Don Knotts, President of Kimble Country Farm Bureau. Reservations for the meeting and lunch should be turned in by June 8 to your Area Reservation Chairwoman, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 325-347-5511. Cost of lunch is $14. This meeting will be our last until September; we hope many members and their guests will attend.

•Kendalia Community Club Homecoming: Starting at 11:30 and lasting until 1:30, a traditional barbecue meal with all the sides will be served. Large meal - $7 and the smaller portion will be $6.
