Youth Playday Series Begins
Wednesday, June 9, 2010 • Posted June 8, 2010

Blanco Cowboy Church opened the chute gate on the first of three Youth PlayDay Series for the summer. Young cowboys and cowgirls attended Sunday morning Worship Services followed by a covered dish lunch before mounting their horses and gathering at the Church Arena for instructions and prayer. They participated in the following four events: Straightaway Barrels, Cloverleaf Barrels, Pole Bending, and Key Hole Race. After a safe and joyful afternoon of activity, prizes were presented and the youth were invited to come back for the next two playday events to be held in July and August. Buckles will be presented for high points at the last playday. There was also much excitement when a very special award was presented to a young cowgirl for her “First Time To Ride a Horse.”

The afternoon drew to a close with special thanks to the Playday leaders, Dan and Hazel McCarthy and family, and all of the Church family for their help in making it such a special event. Everyone then joined together in prayer, praising God for His protection, favor, blessings, and for all of the children and their families.

Ephesians 5:20... ”Giving thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
