“Young Artist” Art Show and Sale at Uptown Blanco Art Center
Wednesday, June 23, 2010 • Posted June 22, 2010

Sometimes it seems like adults forget how to make art, but not children! Their art is colorful, smart, and very, very creative. That’s why Uptown Blanco Art Center is sponsoring a special art show for the talented students in their June summer camp. The campers are creating art work based on Picasso, Matisse, and other modern artists; and using painting, drawing, collage, and ceramics as their mediums. An opening reception to meet the artists and purchase their work, will be held this Friday, June 25, from 4-6pm at the art center.

Proceeds from the sales of the young artists’ work will go to the artist and to a humanitarian cause of their choice. The show will hang until July 9 and be open to the public from 10am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Stop by and encourage the “Young Blanco Artists”.

For more information, stop by or call the Art Center at 833-2514.
