FFA Members Awarded Scholarships at State Degree Check

The Texas FFA Association recently completed its State FFA Degree Check in Stephenville at Tarleton State University, where four local FFA members were selected to receive state scholarships.

Seniors Kaleigh Anderson, Taylor McCormick, Keaton Dodd and Corey Dowlearn brought home over $40,000 in scholarships. Kaleigh and Taylor were each awarded a $15,000 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship, while Keaton received a $10,000 Dick Walrath Scholarship. Corey, who was also the area winner for the Ryan Mott Memorial Scholarship and a state finalist, was selected to receive a $1,500 San Antonio Livestock Exposition Tour Guide Scholarship.

For the year, Blanco FFA members were awarded more than $160,000 in scholarships for their accomplishments.
