The Panther Softball Team Fall Short to the Coahoma Bulldogs
Wednesday, May 7, 2008 • Posted May 6, 2008

The Panther Softball team fell to the number four ranked Coahoma Bulldogs for the area championship. The Panthers played a tough game, but three errors in the third inning resulted in Coahoma scoring four runs, and proved to be enough for Coahoma to defeat the Panthers 5-1.

Game highlights consisted of Sarah Isenberg, offensively, had a double and one RBI; Rachel Calzoncit and McKenzie Ray both had singles.

Sarah Isenberg pitched to 31 batters, allowing five runs on eight hits, walking one, and striking out one.

“These girls have nothing to be upset at; they played some solid softball to finish their season,” stated by Coach Seales.

Coach Seales would like to recognize the seniors who were four-year varsity starters and compiled a record of 75-36 with a district championship and bi-district championship three of the four years they competed. These seniors consist of Alisa Guler, Sarah Isenberg, and Samantha Ruiz, and Seals would like to thank these ladies for their hard work all four years. Coach Seales and Coach Etzel would also like to thank Rachel Calzoncit, Symbri McCarroll, Mckenzie Ray, Hillary Tidwell, Carla Martinez, Claire Klepac, Kalyn Massey, Lacee Hunter, Lauren Winn and all the parents and fans for their hard work and support of the Blanco Panther 2008 Softball team.

The Panthers finished the year 17-12 and Bi-District Champions.
