Highly Decorated Blanco County Disabled Vietnam Vet Is Honored on July 4th

Sergeant Gary Lee Weaver of Blanco County was honored, just before the July Fourth parade, by several members of Blanco’s American Legion Memorial Highway Auxiliary Unit 352. Sergeant Weaver, who served three tours in Vietnam, was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, has several Purple Hearts, and numerous other awards and commendations.

The ladies presented Sergeant Weaver with a beautiful red, white, and blue July Fourth cake with an American Flag. The cake read, “ Thank You Sergeant Weaver.”
