Lois S. McClintock passed away at age 91 on July 9, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Mary Park, in Blanco TX. She has resided for the past several years with her daughter, Martha Stine, in Lavaca County, near Hallettsville TX.

Lois was born in Elkhart TX on September 4, 1918, to Allen and Alda Connell Starr. As a devoted Christian with a compassionate missionary heart, she was a loving mate to her husband, Haskell McClintock, who died in 1993. She had five children, 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by son David McClintock and Margo, San Marcos TX; daughter Martha S. Greenlaw Stine and Doug, Hallettsville TX; daughter Mary L. Lois lived in Houston for 52 years, after having lived several years each in San Marcos, Nacogdoches and Fort Worth. In Houston, she taught in the Spring Branch ISD and attended Long Point Baptist Church. Wherever Lois and Haskell lived, they made many friends and had a sense of God’s calling to serve others by visiting elderly friends, preparing meals for visiting ministers and friends who had experienced illness or bereavement. The sweet spirit of love and caring were evident in Lois’ life even in her last days.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11 am at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville TX with burial in Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston at 3 pm.

Memorial gifts may be made to Long Point Baptist Church, 8009 Long Point Road, Houston, TX 77055, or to a charity of choice.
