The Johnson City community is rallying to help one of its own, 37-year-old Shannon Beal, who was diagnosed with inoperable, stage four, pancreatic cancer. Shannon and her family, husband Bobby and their children Trevor and Brooke, are in need of our help to offset mounting medical bills.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 24, for the Shannon Beal Benefit at the Blanco County Fair Grounds in Johnson City. Sign up for the Poker Run is at 11 a.m. The Washer Pitching Tournament sign up is at 1 p.m. Other activities begin at 4 p.m. and include live music and a silent auction. Auction items include a Nolan Ryan signed baseball, a tool box, cedar rocking chair, wooden bench, movie tickets, artwork, women’s hand bags, a chain saw, children’s items, a chiminea, and much more.
Food is being donated by various businesses and will be cooked by local volunteers. The benefit will feature a dessert auction.
Music will be provided by Battalion of Mars, a local high school band. Other bands include High on Hotdogs, members of The Bobby Beal Band and other friends of Bobby. The headliner band will be Statesboro Review from Austin. Music starts at 4 p.m. and continues throughout the evening with the last band starting at 9 p.m.
Please help support this Johnson City family by donating items for the silent auction. All donations, big and small, are graciously appreciated. We also need volunteers for the benefit.
