1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

In this series entitled “God Is a Spirit” I have learned that God did indeed create us in His image and likeness. He does get angry, as we do, and He grieves and regrets decisions He’s made, as we do, and He delights in things and people, as we do. He has feelings and emotions, but of course is much smarter than us, and can do all things, and knows what we’re ‘gonna do before we do it, and knows the end from the beginning.
I’ve been blessed and have enjoyed studying about God, and hope you have, too. I’ve been anxious to share more Scriptures on other topics that I’ve been reading about, but haven’t wanted to interrupt the series to print them, so I’m going to end it a little prematurely. There is at least one more week that I could take to print out the following Scriptures, but instead of doing that, I hope you will get out your bible and dig into them yourself. Seek and you shall find! I hope you do, because the rest of these are really mind opening.
He Has A Personal Spirit (Psalms 143:10; Isaiah 30:1) with mind (Romans 11:34); intelligence (Genesis 1:26; Romans 11:33); will (Romans 8:27; 9:19); power (Ephesians 1:19; 3:7, 20; Hebrews 1:3); truth (Psalms 91:4); faith and hope (Romans 12:3; 1 Corinthians 13:13); righteousness (Psalms 45:4); faithfulness (1 Corinthians 10:13); knowledge and wisdom (Isaiah 11:2; 1 Timothy 1:17); reason (Isaiah 1:18); discernment (Hebrews 4:12); immutability (Hebrews 6:17); and many other attributes, powers and spirit faculties.
He Has Been Seen Bodily Many Times (Genesis 18; 32:24-30; Exodus 24:9-11; Joshua 5:13-15; Isaiah 6; Daniel 7:9-13; Ezekiel 1; Acts 7:56-59; Revelations 4-5); and can be understood by the things that are made. Man is the visible image and likeness making the invisible God clearly seen as in Romans 1:20.
May God bless you and keep you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
