Uptown Blanco Art Center is proud to announce its new art gallery. Located inside the art center, the gallery will present local artists and their work at reasonable prices. Opening the gallery is “Common Beauty”, the multi-media and layering artwork of Suzette Connell. Ms. Connell has exhibited throughout Central Texas and her photographs are currently displayed locally at the Redbud Café. Uptown Blanco is honored to have Connell’s artwork as their first showing in their new gallery. An open house and artist reception will be held this Friday, August 6, from 5-7pm. Everyone is invited.

Exhibits coming soon are the exciting landscape photographs of Joseph Walsh, opening September 1; quilts of the Texas Hill Country, October 4- 27; a Hill Country ceramics show in November; and a Blanco County group art show in December. The gallery will be open Monday through Friday, 10- 5. So bring your out-of-towners to the newest star in the Blanco crown!
