Dorothy Barbara Zoeller Kneupper went to be with our Lord on May 11th, 2008, at the age of 85 years. Wea rejoice that she is now with our Savior, and fondly remember her life and love. Born April 8, 1923, Dorothy spent her early years in Boerne, Texas with her beloved mother, father, and two sisters. She graduated from Boerne High School and later attended Mary Hardin Baylor College. She married Emil Kneupper on November 7th, 1943 in New Braunfels, Texas, and settled down to live for the rest of her life on the Kneupper family ranch in Kendalia, Texas. There, she raised two daughters, Karen Kneupper Nicholson and Karla Kneupper Mathis. Dorothy was quite active in her community and was well-loved by her many friends. She loved to travel and prided herself in her homemaking abilities. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed canning and pickling the many vegetables from Emil’s homegrown garden.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Emil Kneupper; daughter Karen Nicholson and husband Jim of Midland, Texas; daughter Karla Mathis and husband Wayne of Kendalia, Texas; granddaughters, Karrie Mathis Simpson and husband Kenneth; Kendall Mathis Daughett and husband Mason; Krystal Mathis; Jamie Nicholson and fiancé Matt Lankes; and Jody Nicholson; and great-grandchildren Kenny, Kennedy and Kenton Simpson. The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be made to Kendalia Volunteer Fire Department or Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco, Texas.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday, May 14th at 11:00 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco, Texas. She will always live in our hearts.

Pall bearers are Kenneth Simpson, Mason Daughett, Dr. Pat Mathis, Frank Brussel, Bobby Schwab and Ray Baker.
