Wednesday, August 18, 2010 • Posted August 17, 2010

Hill Country Memorial’s Cancer Resource Center (CRC) will present a free educational program August 24 for caregivers and patients on practical stress management techniques.

The class will be from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the CRC’s first-floor conference room in the Brune Professional Building, 808 Reuben Street in Fredericksburg.

Mandy Schmidt, a master’s level social worker from HCM, will describe symptoms of caregiver burnout and common stress reactions. Laletta Johnson, HCM massage therapist, will demonstrate simple massage techniques designed to help relieve stress for caregivers and patients.

Although there is no charge, reservations are requested for planning purposes and can be made by calling the CRC at 830-990-6648.
