I actually got to hug Ada Cooley at Cuts 'n Curls - her normal Saturday shop was booked solid, so I was lucky enough to grab her before she sat down in a chair to get her loveliness refreshed!
In less exciting, but still interesting news - Tony Floerke, the great white hunter/fisherman, with his lovely wife, Candi, on board, caught a 25" fish (I can't remember the specific kind) down on the coast (I think it was a salt-water kind), so I think he and Frank LeBlanc should have a fish-off! I also think these big fish catchings are because of the lovely wives' presence, not the fishermen themselves, really... The mayor and his lovely wife, Pattie, also caught some majorly big redfish, having gone out fishing with Mike Buck, who is now a licensed guide. You would think it was fishing season!
Danced to Gary P. Nunn Saturday night - for those of you who haven't been to Albert yet, it's a great place to dance and eat and drink! There was a great cross-breeze, but they also have big fans (I got to sit right under one), which made dancing not only not too hot but fun! I am not sure how it's going to be when it gets cold, but maybe they have heaters... anyway, it's worth taking a little trip on a weekend! Andrea North Brantley was there - I thought she was on vacation, but it turns out she has moved to Fredericksburg! She looked snappy in black, and she is a darn good dancer! So is Nathan Schaeferkotter!
School has started, so everybody drive real carefully in the school zones (and stay off your cell phones)!
If the Good Lord's willin' and the creek don't rise (although we really need it to), a good time will be had by all, sometime, somewhere, but most probably in Blanco!
