Three Blanco FFA Members Receive National FFA Scholarships

Each year, the National FFA Organization awards $2 million in scholarships. There are many types of scholarships to fit the diversity of FFA members. Scholarships are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. Different awards may be used at colleges, universities and post secondary agricultural programs.

Scholarships are sponsored by numerous businesses through the National FFA Foundation with new scholarships added each year.

This year, three members from the Blanco FFA Chapter were awarded a $1,000 National FFA Scholarship sponsored by the Cargill Community Scholarship Program. Those members were: Alisa Guler, Sarah Isenberg, and Ross McCormick. Alisa plans to study engineering at Texas A&M University. Sarah will be majoring in business and accounting at the University of Texas at Tyler, while Ross will be working on a biomedical science degree at Odessa Junior College.
