Theodore Alfred “Al” Steigleder

Theodore Alfred “Al” Steigleder, age 83, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2010. He was born in San Antonio on August 1, 1927. Al enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on June 30, 1946 and was honorably discharged on April 30, 1949. He retired from H-E-B with 27 years of service. Al was a Master Mason for 61 years, a Past Master of Anchor Lodge and Community Lodge and also a member of Alzafar Shrine. Al and Mary are members of Grace Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Steigleder; children, Keith Steigleder and wife JuAnna, Sharon Gilbert and husband David, Craig Steigleder and wife Pat, and Dawn Wanek and husband Jeff; sister, Julie Gilbert; numerous loving step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service was held 8 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Pastor Curt Pedder officiating.
