Are you in a pit, needing to get out? Do you have problems and are miserable in every aspect of your life? Jesus is the answer, and has all the answers, and can pull you up and out of the pit you’re in. Believe in Him; that He’s alive and sitting at the right hand of God the Father, and turn from the world. Turn to Jesus. Received Him into your heart, by believing in Him; become a disciple of Christ Jesus.
He said “37All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me].
38For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will and purpose but to do the will and purpose of Him Who sent Me.
39And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I should not lose any of all that He has given Me, but that I should give new life and raise [them all] up at the last day.
40For this is My Father's will and His purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.” John 6:37-40 Amplified Version
One of the best things I ever did was to buy a bible that has 4 different versions in it. That way I could compare them as I read. I love the Amplified version. It seems to bring out the Scripture to a new height. Compare it to your version!
Another good thing I did was to read about the history of the bible. I learned how it has been translated, and it helped me learn which bibles to trust.
Jesus said He accepts all who come to Him. God sent Him down to earth; to be born of the virgin Mary, to live and by His miracles prove He is the living Son of God, so all would believe in Him. His disciples asked Him in John 6:28 “28They then said, What are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?]”
Have you ever wondered about that question? What is your job as a Christian, a believer in Christ Jesus? Well, here’s the answer: “29Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger].” John 6:29
Just believe! Just believe! Hmmm, sometimes that can be a pretty tough job, right? Do you believe everything Jesus taught us in the Gospels? Have you studied about Him in the Gospels? Have you ever sat down and read through Matthew, Mark, Luke or John? Perhaps if you were to read about Him, you would feel inclined to be a vessel for Him to pour His love out to others through you!
He died on the cross at Calvary for us. He said “27Stop toiling and doing and producing for the food that perishes and decomposes [in the using], but strive and work and produce rather for the [lasting] food which endures [continually] unto life eternal; the Son of Man will give (furnish) you that, for God the Father has authorized and certified Him and put His seal of endorsement upon Him.”
