Panthers Roast the Junction Eagles

The Blanco Panther Volleyball Team burst into district play with a resounding 3-0 victory over the Junction Lady Eagles on Friday, September 24. The Panthers only needed three sets to secure the win. Scores were 25-11, 25-10, and 25-10.

Leading the team with 13 kills and two blocks was Junior middle blocker Abbey Weaver. Senior setter Tara Tredaway tallied 20 assists and seven aces and Junior libero Alex Gustafson led the squad with five digs.

The Lady Panthers faced non-district opponent St. Mary’s Hall of San Antonio on Tuesday, September 28 and will then return to district play, traveling to Harper on Friday, October 1. Freshman and Junior Varsity games begin at 4:00 followed by the Varsity game at 5:00. The Varsity team holds a regular season record of 7-4 and a district record of 1-0.
