On Friday, October 1, 2010, the Blanco County Appraisal District mailed out over 16,000 tax bills to all taxpayers who are within their jurisdiction. If you have not received a bill by October 9, 2010, please call 830-868-4013 and a duplicate bill will be reprinted for you.

Please note the Appraisal District has moved from its long-time location in the Courthouse Annex to 615 N. Nugent, Johnson City, TX 78636. Directions to the new office: If coming in from the south - get into the turn lane and exit off Hwy 281 onto Hwy 290 W. Go to the traffic light on 290 and Nugent Street, turn right and go approximately half a mile and the new office is on the left, before you get to the City Pool. If coming in from the north, cross over the Pedernales River Bridge and turn right onto Spur 356 (Nugent Street). Go approx. 1/3 mile and the new office is on the right, once you pass the City Pool.

Office hours during tax season are 8 am to 5 pm. For your convenience, they are open during the lunch hour. They have added a drive-thru window so you do not have to leave your vehicle to pay your taxes and they also offer a night deposit box so you have the option to pay any time.

The Appraisal District also offers the option to pay by either credit or debit card. To pay by phone, call 1-800-272-9829, enter entity code 6699, and then follow the prompts. To pay on the internet, go to www.officialpayments.com and choose the Local Payments option, enter jurisdiction code 6699, and follow the prompts. Credit card and debit card payments are processed by a third-party vender and there will be a fee attached to your tax payment.

If you have questions concerning your 2010 tax bill, please call 830-868-4013 and the office staff will assist you.
