Kids’ Art on Display at Library
Wednesday, October 20, 2010 • Posted October 19, 2010

The Blanco Library will have an art exhibit from October 15, 2010, until the end of the month.

The students started with a blank canvas and created a challenging art piece of their choosing using multiple oil colors. Each painting represents the fun, talent, and work each student puts into their effort.

Each student chose what subject they thought would create a masterpiece. Some of the art students are from the public school, and some are home schooled. Included in the group is a special interest student named Kathlyn, who comes to art class with her sister. All students are hard workers, dedicated, and enthused about their projects.

The students have become excellent at using both oil and pastel mediums during their Tuesday 4pm-6pm classes.

The community is encouraged to come out and enjoy the exhibit and support the young art students.

The Blanco Library always makes time and use of their facility, and is greatly appreciated by the art instructor and students.

More information can be attained by calling the librarian, Crystal Spybuck, at 830-833-4280, or instructor Olga Ibarra at 830-833-1966.
