Gymnasts Compete at District Championship

The levels 4 and 6 VIP team athletes competed in the District Championship at Aerial Gymnastics in San Antonio October 8 and 9. The VIP Team included Level 6 Placement gymnasts Colleen Clancy, Alyssa Kunkel and Kendall Sanders; Level 4 Placement gymnasts Meghan Cleveland, Hannah Ford, Zoey Madigan and Jordan White. Level 4 Achievement gymnasts included Miranda Bosque, Lexus Carton, Haley Chappell, Morgan Haby, Anna Johnson, Macie Mackey, Skylar Maurer, Amalie Mills and Hannah Perine. Coaches are Angie Boice, Casey Boise and Stephanie Turner.

Scores in vaulting included Clancy 9.35, Kunkel 9.35 and Sanders 9.325. Cleveland 9.0, Madigan 9.4 Ford 9.15 and White 9.55. Bosque 9.5, Carton 9.6, Chappell 9.7, Haby 9.4, Johnson 9.35, Mackey 9.7, Maurer 8.55, Mills 9.9 and Perine 9.5.

On bars Clancy scored 8.7, Kunkel 8.15 and Sanders 8.9. Cleveland 8.95, Ford 7.6, Madigan 9.275, and White 9.125. Bosque 8.90, Carton 7.3, Chappell 8.65, Haby 8.55, Johnson 7.40, Mackey 8.45, Maurer 8.85, Mills 7.6 and Perine 8.55.

On Balance Beam Clancy scored 9.2, Kunkel 8.4 and Sanders 8.975. Cleveland 8.35, Ford 8.3, Madigan 8.8 and White 8.95. Bosque 7.8, Carton 8.4, Chappell 8.65, Haby 7.75, Johnson 8.35, Mackey 9.10, Maurer 9.05, Mills 8.0 and Perine 8.2.

Score on the floor exercise include Clancy 8.525, Kunkel 7.75 and Sanders 8.80. Cleveland scored 8.9, Ford 8.7, Madigan 9.05 and White 8.95. Bosque 8.0, Carton 8.3, Chappell 8.5, Haby 6.7, Johnson 7.8, Mackey 9.0, Maurer 8.25, Mills 8.75 and Perine 8.7.

Clancy, Kunkel and Sanders are all going to south state competition in Austin on October 30 and 31 vying for state. Cleveland, Madigan and White are all going to state competition in Houston on November 6.
