The Panthers displayed a great overall team effort in trouncing the Marion Bulldogs. McKay Adamson had a solo tackle and pass deflection in forcing a 3 and out to start the game, and Carson Kipp ripped off a 51 yard TD run on his first carry, putting Blanco up 6-0.

Grant Calzoncit and Grant Garrow forced the next 3 and out with great defensive play, and again Kipp dashed 30 yards for another TD. Aikman Elrod ran in the PAT, and the Panthers went up 14-0. Andrew Burgess, Devlin Moore, and Alex Juarez combined defensively in holding the Bulldogs on a 4th down attempt, giving the Panthers possession deep in Bulldog territory. Devlin Moore then bashed his way in from 16 yards out for another score, giving Blanco a 20-0 lead at the half.

In the 3rd quarter, Alex Juarez gained 20 yards on 2 carries, followed by Kipp scorching the Bulldogs with a 39 yard TD run. Kyle Gray booted the PAT, and the lead increased to 27-0. Gray then recovered a fumbled kick-off, and Jake Breeding bulldozed for 35 yards on 3 carries to finish off the Panther scoring with another TD. Marion managed one TD late in the game, but the final score of 33-8 moved the 8th graders to 5-0 on the year. Carson Kipp was electrifying, gaining 131 yards on only 5 carries for 2 TD’s, not including one 49 TD run that was negated by a penalty.

The Panthers next take on the Comfort Bobcats in Comfort this Thursday.
