Lady Panthers Declaw the Eagles

The Panther volleyball team quickly defeated the Junction Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday, October 12. The first game set the momentum of the match for the Panthers, 25-22. Blanco closed the evening 25-15 and 25-15. With this win, the Lady Panthers’ district record improves to 4-1.

Alex Gustafson led the team with 6 service aces. Tara Tredaway set 19 assists. Lindsey Jenkins and Alex Gustafson each made 11 digs and Abbey Weaver smashed 14 kills and 5 blocks.

The ladies faced the Harper Lady Horns on Tuesday, October 19, before press time. The Lady Horns dealt the Panthers their only district loss to date. On Friday, October 22, the team will travel to Comfort for a match and then completes their district schedule at home against Ingram. These three games will determine the district play-off positions.
