Again and again, for as long as we can remember, the Good Samaritan Center will be giving out Thanksgiving turkeys to those registered for food assistance prior to October 1. Recipients will also receive stuffing, cranberry sauce, and yams or pumpkin as they are available. Those who are eligible may come to the Center, located at 620 Pecan, beginning November 3. One hundred turkeys have already been ordered, and at least one other donation has been made to augment this number, which will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.
