The workshop is being taught by Master Gardener Peggy Welch, who has attended extensive training on propagation and has spent many hours practicing and perfecting her propagation techniques and skills. The workshop will be held in Blanco at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, June 5th and will run from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The workshop covers topics such as: proper collection, storage and treatment of seeds; differentiation of propagation techniques for various types of plants, trees and shrubs; examples of a variety of propagation media; discussions of optimum environmental conditions for propagation success. The workshop will be a hands-on event with materials, plant cuttings and seeds provided to the participants.

The workshop is limited to 30 participants and pre-registration is encouraged to ensure there is room for all who wish to attend. You may pre-register by calling Todd Swift, Blanco County Extension Agent at 830-868-7167. The workshop is free and will offer 4 Continuing Education Credits for those who attend.
