God can do it for you. Ask Him to help you change your thought patterns, so that you don't think negative things against yourself or your job or family.

Positive thinking isn't just a worldly way of life; it's LIFE in our Lord, to think of yourself as a wonderful, beautiful, handsome, child of God. Believe that you will be successful in your business, or your marriage will work out, or your children will be prosperous and have God's joy in them, etc.

I used to have a way of thinking that was self destructive, and one day God showed me that I was imagining things to happen negatively, and that's why my life had so many problems in it. I would unconsciously speak and do things that followed my line of thinking, imagining disastrous things, not really wanting those things to happen, but thinking them, in a sort of "feel sorry for myself" mode.

I anticipated hardships, because I had always had hard times. I believe the Spirit of God showed me one night, that I was thinking wrong, and I prayed and asked God to help me think "POSITIVE" thoughts, happy, blissful, joyful thoughts. I asked Him to help me believe in Him and that as His child, I can live happy, expecting good times, and not bad.

Jesus came for me to have LIFE and have it more abundantly, because I read in my bible where Jesus asked God our Father to give us their joy.

John 17:13 "13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves."

And I also read in John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

According to Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

So when a wrong thought pops into my mind, I know it's not the way God says we should live, I get into my Bible, and renew my mind. I have to. Some people don't read their Bibles, but I can't have victory in my every day life without reading God's Word.

The Bible tells us that we have the "POWER" to cast out vain imaginations and not allow ourselves to continue thinking wrong thoughts that are not in alignment with God's word.

Think on God's word, on Heaven (our goal). God's word is truth and life. Jesus said in John 5:24 - "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
