Ellen Frances White

Ellen Frances White, 79, of Blanco passed away November 11, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Ellen and her identical twin, Eileen Phyllis Scott, were born on December 29, 1930 in San Antonio. Ellen was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Trinity University in San Antonio.

Ellen was a member of All Faiths Church and Hill Country Cattlewomen. Her zest for life and love of the outdoors were most evident while ranching in Blanco, where she bred Black Angus. Ellen was an avid gardener.

A seventh generation Texan, Ellen was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Ellen is survived by son Sterling and his wife Cheryl; granddaughter Beverly and her husband Marty, and great-grandchildren Martin and Michael. Ellen was preceded in death by daughter Beverly, son Larry, sister Eileen, and husband Richard White.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Friday, November 19, and services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Crofts Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio at 1:00 p.m.

Friends and family can donate in Ellen’s honor to the Blanco Public Library.
