Gentle readers:

The column this week is mostly about the combined Evett/Gallant families.

Our dear Mr. Phil Evett hosted 22 members of the McNay Art Museum from San Antonio at his gallery on November 20. Before touring the gallery, they all enjoyed a lovely meal at Uptown Blanco Restaurant. Mr. Evett’s mother-in-law, Phyllis Gallant, had surgery on her knee, so is rehabilitating at Deer Creek in Wimberley. Joanne’s son, Scott, and his wife, Julie, were there to visit with Phyllis, and, on Thankgiving Day, Phil, Joanne, Joanne’s son, Scott, and his wife, Julie, and her daughter, Cindy, and her husband, Terry, will sweep up Phyllis and take her out for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, although I am not sure just precisely where they are going. Just watch out for a lot of full people!

Another holiday season is upon us, so let’s not forget our folks at Live Oak Nursing Home. The Angel Tree will again be at Brieger Pottery, so stop by to pick an Angel and help our residents have a merry Christmas. We so appreciate everyone who remembers our residents at Live Oak each year.

Happy 18th Birthday to Grant Weaver! Look out, world!
