Courthouse Square Christmas Parade Set for December 11
Wednesday, November 24, 2010 • Posted November 23, 2010

Not only is it the time of year for giving, it’s also the time for Christmas parades, and Blanco’s annual Christmas parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 11 at 10 am!

If you are interested in participating, registration forms are available at the Chamber office. Pet owners are being encouraged to participate as well–I remember a dog in a stroller in last year’s parade, being pushed by Connie and Stan Barron!

Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded. The parade will start at the Cemetery (4th Street), take a right at Live Oak, a left on Pecan Street, a right on 3rd Street, a right on 281, and a right on 4th Street, which will take us back to the Cemetery.

Parking will be available around the square. I’m told Santa will be making his appearance too!

While you’re in downtown Blanco for the parade, stay a while and shop at the Holiday Market Days on the Old Blanco County Courthouse lawn!

The deadline to enter a float is Monday, December 6, at 5pm. Be creative and be in the parade! For more information, call the Chamber at 830-833-5101.
