Lois M. Wick went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 8, 2010 at the age of 92 years. Lois was born in Henly, Texas to James and Ida Jennings on March 2, 1918. She was a lifetime resident of the San Antonio area and her devotion in life was to her God, her family, and her church. Lois established the nursery and day care center on Lackland Air Force Base in 1951. She was the director there until she retired in 1967. Children were her heart. For many years she was actively involved in the Medina Children’s Home where she helped organize fundraisers and other events benefiting the home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three sisters and nine brothers, her loving and devoted husband Lee who passed away in 2008, her daughter, Donna Tobias and son, Kenneth Wick. Survivors include her children, Wanda Adair and husband Don, Beverly Moore and husband Chet, Larry Royal and wife Barbara, Sandra Tabor and husband Jim, and Danell Foster and husband Steve, a sister, Leona Calhoun, twenty-two grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Lois will always be remembered as a caring, generous mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers that family requests donations be made in her name to the Medina Children’s Home, 21300 State Hwy 16 N, Medina, Texas 78055.
