Blanche Casparis, 91, passed away December 7, 2010 in Johnson City. She was born in Talpa, TX to Roy L. Clayton and Mae Lewis Clayton. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, David Smith, and brother Guion Clayton. She is survived by her loving husband, Lee B. Casparis; daughter, Josephine Smith; son Bill Althaus and wife Cheryl; sisters, Doris Isbell and Charmaine Hoechten; brother, Lewin Clayton and wife Lela; two grandsons, Brian Althaus and wife Erin and Scott Smith and wife Robin; six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Megan, and Jesse Smith and Preston, Emerson, and Addison Althaus. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Blanche will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00pm Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City where funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday morning with Rev. Bill Wiemers officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Johnson City.
