Carl F. Zieglar passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010. He was born in Dallas, Texas on October 28, 1928. He was raised in Blanco, Texas until he joined the U.S. Army.

He proudly served his country for 25 years. He was a Veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for services rendered in Vietnam.

He was married to Beverly Zieglar for 39 years and had four children. On a return trip to Blanco, after his wife’s death, Carl ran into his high school sweetheart and fell in love with her and her three children, Siegred Ahr, Andy Mann and Marcella Wagner. Carl and Stella celebrated 20 years of marriage this year.

He also leaves behind, four son-in-laws, whom he grew to love as family. Add on 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and you have a man who will be missed, but will always be in the hearts of his family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 15 at 2 p.m. Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco, TX.
