The Panther Powerlifting team competed at the UTSA Roadrunner Powerlifting Meet on Friday, January 7. The boys team won second place, placing eight lifters in the top five of their weight class. First place winners were Phil Alvarado – 114’s, Mike Garza – 220’s, and Steve Lieck – SHW’s. Second place medalists were Ecce Bradfute – 181’s, and Cody Perez – 198’s. Mason Leblanc secured third place in the 181’s, and in fifth place was Brittain Wagner – 198’s, and Noah Tresselt – 242’s.

Two girls medaled for Blanco in the 105’s; Monica Flores placed third and Erica Flores placed fourth.

The powerlifting team will compete again at San Marcos Baptist Academy on January 29.
