Ralph Rubin Weiershausen

Ralph Rubin Weiershausen passed away, Thursday, January 20, at the age of 81.

Ralph Weiershausen is survived by a son, Marsh Weiershausen and wife Lisa of Weatherford; granddaughter Megan Weiershausen; two sisters: Irene Brewter of Kerrville; Nola Von Amburg of Katy; brother, Erwin Weiershausen and wife Carolyn of San Angelo; and sister-in-law, Dora Weiershausen of Zephyr.

Ralph was born July 20, 1929, in Gillespie County, to Walter and Minka Scharnhorst Weiershausen. He married Marcella Evers on September 18, 1949.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, Steen and Henry Weiershausen.

Funeral services for Ralph Weiershausen were held Monday, January 24, 2 pm, in Bethany Lutheran Church, with Rev. William Karlson and Rev. Clarence Rose officiating. Graveside services followed in greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, January 23, from 5-8pm and Monday, January 24, from 7am to 12 noon, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home and from 1-2pm in Bethany Lutheran Church.

Serving as pallbearers were Erwin Weiershausen, Larry Lindsey, James Teschner, Adolph Basse, Laird Ketron, and Max Beckmann. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Andrew Nielsen, Roscoe Basse, Roy Itz, and Larry Wallendorf.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or the charity of one’s choice.
