Blanco County Youth Exhibit Hall Results

The 2011 Blanco County Youth Exhibit Hall Show was held Thursday, January 13 and Friday, January 14 during the Youth Stock Show. Students competed against others in their age group in six classes: Food, Home Canning, Sewing, Hobbies, and Fine Arts. The winners are as follows:

Grand Champion awards went to Shelbi Haynes, Afghan; Avery Klepac, Oil Painting; Avery Klepac, Education Exhibit; Jordan Leach, Quilt; Brenna Wallace, Preserves; and Carlie Waxler, Decorated Cake.

Reserve Champion awards went to Sarah Beall, Flower Art; Mycala Jordan, Quilt; Charlie Moore, Waterfall Photo; and Amara Yachimski, Yeast Breads.

Grand Champion and Reserve Champion winners each received an embroidered tote bag. Tote bag sponsors included Johnson City 4-H Club; Klepac Greenhouses, Inc.; Michael and Nancy Jordan; 290 Diner; Gene Jordan and Sons Construction; and Ronnie’s BBQ.

The sweepstakes winners were Junior, Mycala Jordan and Senior, Kendra Smith who earned the most points based on their many successful placings earning prize money and Carhartt jackets sponsored by Purcell-Spiller Ranches and The David Danz Family.

Angie Wright provided the beautiful decorations. Angie worked hard at creating a fiesta theme in the Exhibit Hall and everyone appreciates her talent.

The awesome group of volunteers that made this event so special were Barbara Beall, Linda Murphy, Nancy Jordan, Marjorie Reagor, Tana Wheeler, Heidi Miertschin, Traci Smith, Elizabeth O’Day, Ceslea Pattillo, the Hill Country Spurs 4-H Club, and Wesley Wright.
