Panthers Outscored in Nail-Biter Overtime

In an exciting district clash between the Blanco Panthers and Harper Longhorns, the score could not have been closer. At the halftime break, the score was tied at 35-35. Then Blanco and Harper scored 35 points each in the second half to tie at 70-70 at the end of regulation. In the overtime period, the Longhorns managed a 3-point lead at the buzzer for the Panther loss of 82-85.

With several excellent assists from teammates and some strong moves on his own, Austin Carrola shredded the nets with 31 points. Clayton Green scored 16 points, with Matt Pepper making 12. Ian Ray and Tanner Rogers each scored 11 points. Sam Isenberg added 1 point on a free throw.

The Panthers hit the road for district match-ups against Junction on Tuesday, January 25 and Ingram on Friday, January 28. The team is 13-10 on the season and 1-1 in District 8-AA.
