The Orphanage

Keith-

The orphanage is a scary, suspenseful little tale that I underestimated. This is the first film from this director, but he captured this tale perfectly. It is about an orphan who is adopted and comes back years later with her husband to buy the house and adopt 4 or 5 children to give them the chance she was given. Once they get there, the games begin, and this movie didn’t cheese out like so many other suspenseful tales do. It really engrosses you in the storyline and has you pondering things and clues about certain past occurrences. This movie is subtitled, but some are worth it and I think this one is. 3 paws.

Noel-

The Orphanage is subtitled, which automatically made me not want to watch it. As many of you know, I hate to read a movie. If I wanted to read, I’d grab a book. But I absolutely loved this movie. I love scary movies and a good scary movie is really hard to come across. And even the fact that I had to read this, since it is in Spanish with English subtitles, didn’t bother me. This movie is very suspenseful, chilling, creepy, and very heartbreaking. I love the way this movie unfolds and explains itself; it is very entertaining and I really enjoyed watching it and recommend watching it one creepy night like this Friday the 13th!!! 3 ½ paws.
