Larry Joe Triesch, 67, of Austin, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011. He was born on January 8, 1944 in Blanco, Texas to Eugene and Roena Triesch.
Larry married the love of his life Mary Ann Lehmann on February 8, 1964 in New Braunfels, Texas. Shortly after their marriage he began to work for National Western Life where he worked for over 42 years until his retirement in March of 2007. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over 35 years.
Larry was involved in many organizations. He was a member of the Austin Saengerrunde for over 30 years, United States Bowling Congress, Fellow Life Management (FLMI) and in the 1970’s he worked with the Little League Football program in the Oak Hill Optimist Club. Larry liked to hunt and fish, look at classic cars, and most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Larry will be remembered as a people person, who was very giving and caring, adventurous, not afraid to try anything new, and was always willing to help anyone who may need it. He will be dearly missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Ann Triesch; son, Michael Triesch and wife Michelle; daughter, Tammy Brown and husband Greg, grandchildren, Julia, Jacob, Joshua and Jenna Triesch and Katie and Clayton Brown; siblings, Dee Lee Triesch and wife Helen, Imogene Wagner and husband Raymond, Joylyn Gunn and husband Carl Wayne, Delbert Triesch and wife Pat, Eugene Triesch and wife LaVada, Calvin Triesch and wife Leslie, Danny Triesch and wife Barbara and numerous other loving family members and friends.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr., Austin, TX 78749
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4622 South Lamar Blvd. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
