Blanco United Methodist Church began their annual Vacation Bible School on Sunday, June 8, 2008. The evening began with a Hamburger Kick-off, gathering music with BUMC’s Music & Choir Directors, Ed and Linda Casburn, and more than 100 participants, including helpers.

The children moved through a series of stations for drama, storytelling, crafts and outdoor games and concluded the first day with music and prayer. BUMC’s VBS will continue through Thursday, June 12, with a light supper each evening at 5:30 p.m. and conclude promptly at 8:00 p.m.

Thursday night is Family Night and will include a Pizza Party for everyone; children’s program and presentation of certificates for all children who attended VBS; and an ice cream social in “God’s Big Backyard!”

Registration is open, and BUMC welcomes all children in the Blanco community.
