A Trip to the Alley

On Saturday, January 29, the Webelos and Bears from the local Cub Scout Pack 497 met at the Blanco Bowling Alley.

The boys learned some history and rules about 9-pin bowling. Texas is the only state that still bowls 9-pin and it is predominantly in the German communities around central Texas.

The boys learned how to set pins, keep score and were able to bowl a game, where they practiced these new skills.

All the boys earned a bowling belt loop and had a great time learning about 9-pin.
