Tejas Art Club member, Maureen N. Bester MA, ATR, loves to draw and paint Texas Wildflowers. She particularly likes the colors of them and uses pastels and watercolors to recreate some of their beauty.

Maureen is certified in Art Education and registered in Art Therapy. She is also certified as a Texas Continuing Education Provider in Art. Her special interest is in Adult Education through Art and teaches privately and for the Continuing Education Departments of Dripping Springs and Comal Independent School Districts. Her studio areas are both the visual arts of drawing and painting and the fabric arts of creative sewing, knitting, crocheting, and silk dyeing.

Currently, Maureen is the Director of Rain Bird Gallery in Blanco and also owns her own business, Natura’s Art. In addition to teaching, she has created her own wildflower card line which is carried by the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and a line of wearable art featuring silk scarves.
