Pioneer Museum Seeks World War II Items for New Exhibit
Wednesday, February 23, 2011 • Posted February 22, 2011

The response to the World War II exhibit at the Blanco Pioneer Museum has been very good but we are still seeking items to showcase and would like more to completely cover the area of the museum. We are seeking items that a soldier would have gathered or used during his participation in the War. Some of the things we are missing are medals, canteens, dog tags, medical packs, flashlights, shovels, and other very valuable items like weapons. We will make arrangements to be at the museum to take in these items. We do not keep any items but we do display them for the public to view. If you would like to lend an item to this display, please contact one of these directors: Nell Krueger at 833-5774, Rebecca Howerton at 833-4950, Pat Vallone at 833-1972, or Linda Howard at 833-4971.

Your participation in lending the museum an item will make the display a community event and honor our veterans.
