Herman Klappenbach

Herman Klappenbach, 85, passed away February 28, 2011, in Johnson City. He was born in Blanco Co. to Richard Klappenbach, Jr., and Telka Triesch.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Linda Weirich, Norma Schmidt, and Elsa Hartmann. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and dear friends.

A life-long resident of Johnson City, Herman lived and made his living on the family ranch, which has been in the Klappenbach family for over 160 years. He was also a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco, where he was past President of the Congregation. When his daily farming and ranching responsibilities were done, Herman enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City, where funeral services will be held at 10:00am Thursday morning, with Rev. Bobby Leggett officiating. Interment will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Johnson City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco or to North Blanco Co. EMS.
