Relay Team Raises $10,000

The Pajama Mamas team was recognized at the Blanco County Relay for Life Kick-Off Meeting on February 22, 2011, as a “Platinum Team.” In order to reach platinum status, a team has to raise $10,000 in one year for the American Cancer Society.

The Pajama Mamas have been a Relay for Life team since 2005 in Blanco County. They have won many awards over the last six years including: Most Money Raised by a Team – 5 years, Best Campsite – 4 years, Most Enthusiastic Team – 2 years, and Best Theme – 1 year. The team consists of Peggy Berryhill – Captain, Brenda Mabry – Co-Captain, D’Lynn Elrod, Gloria Preiss, Denise Wagner, Dana Wagner, Wendy Gloor, Paulette Stepp, Jeana Byler, Pam Nabers, and Alice Childress.

The Pajama Mamas are already registered as a team for the 2011 Relay for Life event and have already hosted some fundraising events. Congratulations, Pajama Mamas!
