Police Seek Information on Criminal Mischief Around Blanco

Blanco Police Department and Hill Country Area Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect, or suspects, who at 10:30 PM on Saturday, September 22, to 2:30 AM on Sunday, September 23, 2007, broke a window at the Blanco High School front office and destroyed a computer monitor.

Estimated damage is approximately $1,000.

Anyone with information should call the Blanco Police Department at 830-833-4525. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for the arrest of suspect or suspects, call Hill Country Area Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-8477 or online at www.hcacrimestoppers.com.

Police are also looking for information about individuals who knocked over and pulled up stop signs, as well as vandalized other traffic signs, at 10th Street and Country Lane.

The City of Blanco is spending $500 to $1,500 to replace the signs, said Sergeant Carl Bragg. The total damage puts the crime as a Class A misdemeanor, with a maximum of one year in jail.
