Last Tuesday afternoon, residents of Live Oak Medical center were guests at a party given by the Fall group at Trinity Lutheran church for the October birthdays of Joyce Marie Shinn, Helen McIntyre and Jack Burks. taped music was played while everyone enjoyed visiting with the hostesses, Medora Beckmann, MariaAnna Lindeman and Pam Ridlehuber. They were assisted by volunteers Doris Collins and Candi Kane, and Activity Director Pauline Walker in serving the residents and staff members a Dorothy Troppy strawberry cake and an angel food cake with punch.

Friday, Shelby and Travis Burt of Seguin came to visit their grandparents, Marilyn and Lawrence Mikes and Aunt Nan. They went to the football game Friday night. Saturday, Debbie and Bobby Burt came to the Bazaar at the Methodist Church. After a day of shopping and enjoying the Soup & salad lunch, Shelby and Travis returned home with their mom & dad.

Friday, Jeanette and David Leese of Van Vleck came to Blanco for Jeanette’s class reunion. They stayed with Marilyn and Lawrence Mikes. The Leeses’ visited family and friends at the Bazaar at the Methodist Church before going to her reunion. On Sunday, they went to Fredericksburg to take David’s parents to church and out for lunch.

Charles Willgren returned from his weekend visit to see Amanda Griffith and sister Caroline Willgren in Fort Collins, Colorado. He will be traveling back up there this Thanksgiving for another visit.
