Hill Country Cattlewomen Announce Scholarship Opportunities
Wednesday, June 18, 2008 • Posted June 17, 2008

The Hill Country Cattlewomen will again award scholarships to college-level juniors with 60 accumulated hours or more and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Two or more scholarships will be awarded to an agriculture or dietary nutrition related major. Additional scholarships are open to any other major.

Applicants must be a resident of one of the following counties: Bandera, Blanco, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Northern Bexar, Real or San Saba.

In 2007, Hill Country Cattlewomen awarded 15 scholarships, totaling $22,200. Dependent on the success of fundraising efforts by dedicated members, we anticipate a like amount will be available for scholarships this year.

Interested students should send requests for an application to Sandy Kuykendall at P.O. Box 68, Cherokee, TX 76832, or email sandykuykendall@yahoo.com. The deadline for completed applications is June 1, 2008. Winners will be announced at the June 2008 meeting of the Hill Country Cattlewomen.
