Blanco Police Reports

These reports were filed between May 22 and May 29.

May 22

• Vandalism. 7:48 AM. A mail box was reportedly destroyed.

• Threats. 9:22 AM. A caller reported threats over child custody.

• Reckless Driver. 12:49 PM. A vehicle was driving erratically on US 281, into Blanco.

• Animal Complaint. 3:14 PM. A gang of dogs was chasing kids on Mesquite St. The responding officer was going t o contact the dogs’ owner with a citation.

• Alarm. 7:25 PM.

May 23

• Threat. 12:21 PM. A report was filed on possible assault by threat.

• Reckless Driver. 4:02 PM. A vehicle was seen speeding on US 281, into Blanco, while weaving in and out of oncoming traffic.

May 24

• Alarm. 8:04 AM. CarQuest.

• Possible Intoxicated Driver. 1:37 PM. A car with two females inside drove into a ditch off US 281. The caller was worried that they may have been intoxicated. An officer spoke with the driver, who said she was swerving to miss something (with Texas DPS).

• Reckless Driver. 6:11 PM. Speeding car on US 281, into Blanco.

May 25

• Vandalism. 7:52 AM. Subjects wrote things on the roof of C.J’s.

• Damaged Property. 9:09 AM. The caller’s vehicle was struck by another object during the night.

• Mutual Aid. 11:22 PM. A child fell into a fire at Blanco State Park.

May 26

• Verbal Disturbance. 7:02 PM. A subject was being verbally abusive at Super S.

• Juvenile Complaint. 10:21 PM. A caller was having trouble with a juvenile.

May 27

• Information / Sexual Assault. 9:00 PM. An officer took information about a sexual assault.

May 28

• Suspicious Person / Information. 4:19 PM. A caller reported a person hanging around a business. Information was taken by the operator.

• Alarm. 10:39 PM. Subway.

May 29

• Civil Matter. 6:35 PM. Information was taken regarding a civil matter.

• Warrant. 8:15 PM. A subject on 10th St. was arrested on a warrant.

• Civil Standby. 9:44 PM. An officer stood by while two subjects parted ways.

• Vandalism. 10:42 PM. An officer responded and reported that no criminal mischief has taken place.

• Alarm. 11:40 PM. Super S.

Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Reports

These reports were filed between May 22 and May 29.

May 22

• Animal Complaint. 6:55 AM. A dog behind Super S in Johnson City reportedly had a live chicken in its mouth. The dog was not located.

• Animal Complaint. 7:32 AM. Two horses were in the caller’s yard, close to US 281, and the caller was concerned for their safety. The owner put the horses up.

• Disturbance. 7:50 AM. A caller reported an altercation between two subjects. An officer settled the situation at the scene and the parties separated.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 10:00 AM. A van, with one occupant, was reportedly sitting on the side of RR 165.

• Followup. 12:36 PM. An officer assisted with setting up a surveillance camera.

• Road Hazard. 12:43 PM. A large piece of metal or plastic was reported in the westbound lane of US 290 East. The debris was removed.

• Security Check. 1:00 PM.

• Traffic Hazard. 5:19 PM. Trash was on US 290 West at the intersection of RR 1. The trash was gone when an officer arrived.

May 23

• Suspicious Circumstances. 6:32 PM. A school bus was parked on the side of US 281, north of Johnson City, and all the kids had evacuated the bus. The bus had left the area when officers responded. Johnson City PD and DPS assisted.

• Traffic Hazard. 9:14 PM. A box spring was reported in the middle of US 281 at 473 West.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 11:26 PM. A vehicle was reported in Rockin’ J Ranch, on private property. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

May 24

• Medical Emergency. 10:52 AM. A subject in Pedernales Falls State Park may have broken an ankle. EMS was called.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 12:16 PM. The caller reportedly heard a beeping noise inside the house. An officer found that the noise was coming from a smoke detector.

• Motorist Assist. 1:56 PM. A disabled motorcycle was on the side of US 281, north of the Y.

• Phone Harassment. 3:17 PM. Complainant filed a report.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 7:35 PM. The caller’s dog was reportedly shot on their property.

• Disturbance. 8:10 PM. Officers responded to a disturbance call south of Blanco. One subject was detained, issued a citation for class C simple assault, and released. Another subject was given a courtesy ride.

May 25

• Missing Person. 1:20 AM. A subject had been drinking and was last scene swimming upstream in the Blanco State Park. Officers located the subject. Blanco PD and state park personnel assisted.

• Stranded Motorist. 5:25 AM. A subject requested a ride into Blanco.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 8:22 AM. A truck was parked in the middle of RR 1320. An officer asked that the vehicle be moved. A wrecker was requested.

• Missing Person Report. 11:58 AM. An officer was on the scene, taking the report, when the person who was being reported as missing called.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 3:40 PM. An officer responded to check out a vehicle off RR 1323 and reported that everything was OK. The owner agreed to let the subject park there.

• Traffic Accident. 5:01 PM. A vehicle rolled over north of Round Mountain on US 281 (with Texas DPS).

• Unattended Death. 6:52 PM.

• Citizen Assist. 11:20 PM. Comal County requested Blanco County transport a subject but canceled when the subject decided to go another way.

May 26

• Motorist Assist. 11:54 AM. An officer provided traffic control for a motorist on CR 301 at US 281.

• Followup. 1:05 PM. A supplemental report was filed by a subject.

• Unattended Death. 4:47 PM. A caller stated that a person was in need of EMS.

• Verbal Disturbance. 8:13 PM. A subject would not leave a residence.

• Motorist Assist. 11:23 PM. A motorist was seen on US 281 with the vehicle’s hood up but was gone on the officer’s arrival.

May 27

• Livestock Complaint. 8:42 AM. Cows were out just before the low water crossing on Chimney Valley Rd.

• Motorist Assist. 1:51 PM. US 290 West. Unable to locate.

• Welfare Concern / Missing Person Report. 6:12 PM. An officer took information about a missing person and notified the authorities in Harris County.

May 28

• Alarm. 9:04 AM.

• Theft. 3:06 PM. A pop-up camper was stolen in the last three weeks.

• Prisoner Transfer. 5:10 PM. One inmate taken to the doctor.

• Assist Child Protective Services. 5:35 PM. Officers assisted CPS.

• Suspicious Persons. 9:00 PM. A caller reported a line of cars parked along the side of RR 1623 with their lights on, looking suspicious. Officers responded and reported that all the vehicles were leaving.

• Welfare Concern. 9:36 PM. An officer was requested to check on children at a residence with garbage all over the place. The officers responded and scheduled a followup.

May 29

• Loose Livestock. 5:55 AM. A large horse was out on RR 2766.

• Civil. 10:16 AM. Custody dispute.

• 911 Call. 10:46 AM. 911 received a call with an open line.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 11:06 AM. A caller reported a suspicious comment made by a subject.

• Loose Livestock. 5:47 PM. RR 2721.

• Loose Livestock. 7:06 PM. A cow was out near US 281. An officer reported that the cow went back into the pasture.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 11:20 PM. A suspicious vehicle was reported at the end of Divide Pass Rd. A wrecker was contacted and gave the driver a ride.

May 22

• Arrest on View. 11:17 PM. One subject arrested.

May 23

• Traffic Accident. 1:30 PM. A vehicle hit a tree on RR 165.

• Arrest on View. 7:17 PM. One subject arrested.

May 24

• Arrest. 12:49 AM. One subject was arrested for DWI. The vehicle was released to the passenger.

May 25

• Arrest on View. 12:38 AM. One subject was arrested on RR 32.

May 26

• Arrest on View. 12:32 AM. One subject was arrested for DWI at a traffic stop on US 290 West.

May 27

• Minor Traffic Accident. 10:41 PM. A vehicle hit a deer on US 281 and pulled into Blanco General after the car began smoking.
