This is a wonderful movie with the girl from Little Miss Sunshine (Abigail Breslin) and the guy from Just Friends (Ryan Reynolds).

I was a little confused at the end of the movie when I found out that Maya (Abigail) knew who her mother was.

From the previews I assumed that the entire point of the movie was that she was trying to find out from her dad who her real mom was.

Well, to help y’all not be confused like I was; she knows who her mother is she has just never heard the story of how they came to be together and eventually got married.

Understanding this will help a lot when watching the movie; at least I think it would have for me, unless it was just the pregnancy hormone confusing me!!!

Anyway, this is a heartwarming story that makes you realize it’s definitely never too late to go back and maybe find a happy ending. 4 paws!

Here’s a great romantic comedy with a little different twist. Little Miss Sunshine girl plays Maya, and the story begins when she convinces her dad to tell her how he met her mother because they’ve been separated and she’s just now old enough to start asking questions about it.

He decides to explain his life at that time and describe all the women (with names changed) he had relationships with to see if she can guess which one is her mom since she knows nothing of them together.

During this process, he discovers that a second look at the past might also give him a second chance at the future. Cute show from start to finish – 3 ½ paws.
