San Antonio Livestock Exposition Awards Scholarships To Three Local Students
Wednesday, July 9, 2008 • Posted July 8, 2008

The San Antonio Livestock Exposition has awarded three tour guide scholarships to local FFA members. Seniors Alisa Guler, Ross McCormick, and Jared Newby will each receive a $1,000 scholarship based on their academic, extra-curricular, and FFA careers. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, recipients must have taken part in the school tours program at the San Antonio Livestock Show. Of the ten scholarships awarded to FFA members from across the state, Blanco was the only school with three members receiving this award. Alisa, Ross, and Jared will be presented their scholarships at the upcoming State FFA Convention in Lubbock, where they will also be honored at an awards banquet sponsored by the Texas FFA and S.A.L.E.
