Wilton W. Smith, 88, of Blanco passed away Sunday, July 13. He was born in Blanco to Nimrod and Ella (Nowotny) Smith, Sr. on August 23, 1919. He served in the Army Air Corp during WW II and retired from the Air Force after 23 years. He taught school for another 16 years before retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, three sons: Pat of Fredericksburg, Mike of Blanco and Dennis of San Marcos. There are 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary, two brothers: Nimrod, Jr. and Harley Smith and a sister, Ima Cleveland.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 17 at Crofts Funeral Home with Brother Lee Cage officiating. Pallbearers are David Cravatt, Barry Cravatt, Leslie Cravatt, Karson Smith, Cole Smith, and Woody Klein. Masonic graveside services will follow at the Blanco Cemetery.
